This is what I sent into the FCC today about Net Neutrality. It is a vote / argument over people trying to slow down traffic into websites that do not pay "fast lane" fees and also pretty much destroy the ability of a non premium website to be searched.

Lets be honest.
The internet is already used for a great many good and bad things, from the supposed Russia scandal with the 2016 elections to organized crime.
what I find deplorable is the FCC now wants to legalize organized crime in the form of allowing corporations to squash the first amendment of the united states constitution.

Now most people don't draw a direct line from the internet to free speech, but we have a couple other things we can throw in here to clear that up.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So I want to focus on the term search. In order for a website to show in these search rankings people talk about, it has to be "searched" or "crawled" by the search engine. This is a positive thing yes? It is also something controlled by the people, anyone who builds a website codes in a yes or no for being listed.

This quote above us does not describe a police force or any single group as being the group who could do the searching and seizing. You can make a case that the internet service providers will violate the sixth article as a commonly held belief by the general public by seizing someones ability to their freedom of speech and their household papers being a published website.

Common law or commonly held belief at this time by the public is that freedom of speech is extended to posters and signs and even burning the American flag. So we can safely also say that by seizing the search results for corporate profit as a dual violation is being writ large.

First, freedom of speech is being infringed because your website is no longer being fairly treated, while you are not entitled to being at the TOP of any search result artificially bumping your website down is probably about the same as the police forcing a group of people on the street with protest posters into the back of the paddy-wagon to go to jail for being pests. Thus they are no longer a search-able content that can be fairly seen.

Yet we are told to believe that the well heeled monied interests from corporate America can go on sending their messages on the sides of buses or football stadiums even if we find that message negative just like the protesters message may be received negatively by corporate America.   

One last quote

So these two articles 11 and 12 are telling us we cant use these rights defined so far to impose on others. Thus the freedom of speech and from unreasonable seizure cannot be used to lean on someone else. Hard to imagine but it covers the speech and expression privilege not being a tool for putting people down.

Also we have a clear message in the 12th article that says unless we reserve a power specifically it is not in the hands of the government. Despite the usual feeling of apathy you have in today's world the Government be it Feds, State or even the FCC only has very specific motives they can exercise without being an over-step. 

This was written because the founding fathers were suspicious of big government, and why not? In their day the King of England was letting his lords and merchants ride high on other people. The East India Company was famous for causing international incidents. European merchant lords even encouraged the opium trade in china.

The perception was people abuse power, whatever the reason, once that Government got big enough it casts a shadow large enough to hide some men's individual power oriented goals. Its one part too big to see clearly and another part is deep apathy for the functions we become dependent on, letting the big bad huge arm of the Government deal with our dirty laundry is easy. But honestly it covers plenty of negatives we choose to ignore.

My message is this.
Nowhere is there a law that is higher than the U.S. Constitution.
Nowhere in that U.S. Constitution does it say, that a business interest may tread on our Bill of Rights.
In that Bill of Rights it clearly defines a level playing field without any paid for "premium" advantages.

So why do we keep coming back to paid gateways? I.E. search engine and website access only for those who pay?
This is not a football stadium. This is a blatant attempt by money interests to keep a long held advantage first seen in Radio and then Television cable networks whereby only content with money behind it could be viewed or heard.

That era did not do us any favors, it represented people believing only what ideas had corporate Americas blessing.
We can clearly see what America feels about this by seeing the Cable companies scramble at a dwindling subscriber base.

Please vote no to any form of paid for search results and slow gateway internet to websites who fail to pay their "protection" money just like any New York gangster protection racket.
Net Neutrality may not sound normal, but it is the best we can hope for. The internet is not intended as a harvest time wheat field. It is there as a network for people to communicate. Even when we choose to do so poorly.
